Italian black metal cult SELVA ROSSA was born from the idea of creating a testimony of the medieval, esoteric and mystic roots of the territory of Bologna. Einzl & Diasper of dark ambient act DIM ARCANA felt the inspiration to pay homage to their city and began to build the basic concept. SELVA ROSSA was the title that Bologna was referred to, during the middle ages, due to its appearance of an intricate maze of towers and conspiracies, for which the austere and violent aspect reflects in the basis of the music. The debut album Ire Ad Patres is the first of a trilogy. Three albums, a single concept : Medieval Italian conpiracies.

Stargazer Releases Full Length "Tui La"

AlbumsPosted by Hallowed nyheter 2017-08-20 13:58
Stargazer are back after nearly four years, and as demonstrated by their singles, Temple of Solace, The Dream Electric, and Skinwalker, they sound bigger than ever. Now the time has come for the official release of their much anticipated full length album, Tui La.

Blending melody, technicality, vicious vocals and an aggressive drive to keep pushing boundaries, the band has also found the perfect way to integrate their album concept in all of the tracks: Tui La is about balance and opposites, about moon and ocean, push and pull, life and death, and that is exactly what we find within the full length. Stargazer wanted to create a story, and succeeded in doing just so, the three singles released so far alone prove it. From "Temple of Solace" to "Skinwalker" and "The Dream Electric", the quintet is firing on all cylinders, and you're bound to not be disappoint

Matt Copp (vocals) has this to say about the album's official release: "Tui La is the culmination of the last four years of our lives, our sweat, and our tears. All of us have gone through beautiful and terrible times along the way, and this album is a reflection and a celebration of those experiences. It may not fit the standard model of album writing or what's current and trendy in the musical scene, but it was never our intention to do so. What we've made is something that is purely Stargazer; it's exactly what we want to hear and feel and is a true representation of our individual and collective selves."

Melodic tech-rock quintet FIRST SIGNS OF FROST are streaming their new EP The Shape Of Things To Come ahead of its release on the 11th August via Basick Records.
"Over the past two years we have been quietly and solidly working away to bring something different to the table, a record that not only reflects who we are and the history of the band, but more importantly showcases our future," says frontman Daniel Lawrence. "The Shape Of Things To Come is as poignant an EP title as possible, it is the first of many releases we have planned in the near future and we cannot wait to share this with fans old and new. We hope you enjoy this record as much as have bringing it to life."

Drawing influence from the likes of Deftones, Tool and Glassjaw, London's First Signs Of Frost push the boundaries with their unique blend of technical instrumentation, epic soundscapes and anthemic vocal melodies.

HUNDRED SUNS stream album ahead of release

AlbumsPosted by Hallowed nyheter 2017-08-12 16:55
HUNDRED SUNS are streaming their highly anticipated debut album, The Prestaliis, ahead of its 11 August release via New Damage Records.
Vocalist Cory Brandan says the record is a "fictional catastrophic event told in a conversation between the earth and the sky," which ends with the destruction of both.

"The concept is that it sets off a series of other events told through various characters and conversations throughout the album. I tried to write all of the lyrics where they could come from the minds of either person or entity and get a new meaning or emotion out of it.

"All of the themes teeter between acceptable and non-acceptable behaviour or thoughts. I didn't want to force anything into the songs. I tried to listen for what I thought the song sounded like and write with that emotion in mind."
