AlbumsPosted by Hallowed nyheter 2017-08-20 13:58 Stargazer are back after nearly four years, and as demonstrated by their singles, Temple of Solace, The Dream Electric, and Skinwalker, they sound bigger than ever. Now the time has come for the official release of their much anticipated full length album, Tui La.
Blending melody, technicality, vicious vocals and an aggressive drive to keep pushing boundaries, the band has also found the perfect way to integrate their album concept in all of the tracks: Tui La is about balance and opposites, about moon and ocean, push and pull, life and death, and that is exactly what we find within the full length. Stargazer wanted to create a story, and succeeded in doing just so, the three singles released so far alone prove it. From "Temple of Solace" to "Skinwalker" and "The Dream Electric", the quintet is firing on all cylinders, and you're bound to not be disappoint
Matt Copp (vocals) has this to say about the album's official release: "Tui La is the culmination of the last four years of our lives, our sweat, and our tears. All of us have gone through beautiful and terrible times along the way, and this album is a reflection and a celebration of those experiences. It may not fit the standard model of album writing or what's current and trendy in the musical scene, but it was never our intention to do so. What we've made is something that is purely Stargazer; it's exactly what we want to hear and feel and is a true representation of our individual and collective selves."

"Over the past two years we have been quietly and solidly working away to bring something different to the table, a record that not only reflects who we are and the history of the band, but more importantly showcases our future," says frontman Daniel Lawrence. "The Shape Of Things To Come is as poignant an EP title as possible, it is the first of many releases we have planned in the near future and we cannot wait to share this with fans old and new. We hope you enjoy this record as much as have bringing it to life."
Drawing influence from the likes of Deftones, Tool and Glassjaw, London's First Signs Of Frost push the boundaries with their unique blend of technical instrumentation, epic soundscapes and anthemic vocal melodies.

AlbumsPosted by Hallowed nyheter 2017-08-12 16:55 HUNDRED SUNS are streaming their highly anticipated debut album, The Prestaliis, ahead of its 11 August release viaNew Damage Records. Vocalist Cory Brandan says the record is a "fictional catastrophic event told in a conversation between the earth and the sky," which ends with the destruction of both.
"The concept is that it sets off a series of other events told through various characters and conversations throughout the album. I tried to write all of the lyrics where they could come from the minds of either person or entity and get a new meaning or emotion out of it.
"All of the themes teeter between acceptable and non-acceptable behaviour or thoughts. I didn't want to force anything into the songs. I tried to listen for what I thought the song sounded like and write with that emotion in mind."
Alternative Metal outfit NoSelf from Central Florida have inked a worldwide distribution deal with Zombie Shark Records, the new record label from Noah “Shark” Robertson (Motograter, EX-The Browning).
Their latest album ‘Human-Cyborg Relations Episode 1’ was recorded by Matt Johnson at Revelation Studios. The band is putting a modern twist on the nu metal genre, similar to bands like Cane Hill, DED, My Ticket Home, and Issues. The group is heavily influenced by bands like Deftones, Spineshank, Adema, Nothingface, and Korn.
AlbumsPosted by Hallowed nyheter 2017-08-04 21:01 UK-based death metal titans ABHORRENT DECIMATION havereleased their new albumThe Pardoner 28/7 via Prosthetic Records and are streaming it in full, online.
Vocalist Ashley Scott comments on the new album: “It’s been a real journey these last couple of years and while this record is totally a concept album, it is also the soundtrack to a somewhat troubling, testing and confusing part in all our lives. We persevered and came out the other side. And the result, we feel – is a cohesive and accomplished body of work.”
Conceptually, the new album is an in-depth exploration into "The Pardoner", English poet Geoffrey Chaucer's most depraved and deceitful character from The Canterbury Tales. "The Pardoner" is a religious fraud and hypocrite who preaches against the love of greed, yet whose own love of wealth enabled him to profit off the sins of others. He claimed to work on behalf of the clergy, selling spiritual forgiveness for one's sins in the form of his pardons, which included forged "official letters" from high ranking church officials absolving one of their sins and bones and crystals blessed with healing powers. In Chaucer's story, "The Pardoner" tells a harrowing tale of three men whose materialism becomes the death of them.
The Pardoner was recorded, mixed and mastered by bassist David Archer at Audio Empire. The intricate artwork for The Pardoner was created by German illustrator Karmazid, based on a visual concept by Vocalist Ashley Scott.
